Want to change up your eating plan? Try eating 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day instead of the typical 3 bigger meals a day. Stick to around 400-450 calories for the smaller meals. This way, half of the calories consumed will be used for digestion and the other half for regular cellular metabolism. This approach helps reduce the intake of unnecessary calories throughout the day while providing the body with the nutrition it needs to function the way it is supposed to. More carbohydrates earlier in the day means less cravings later on, especially in the late evening hours. If you are experiencing the desire to eat between meals, try consuming a glass of water first. Often, the body interprets thirst as a desire to eat. If you still feel hungry after a glass of water, feel good about yourself that you have at least hydrated your body more than it was before.
